The Definitive Collection

This collection has many songs from the 70s to the 90s by Whitesnake. The songs are blues rock, hard rock, and heavy metal. Some of my favorites are the 80s songs "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love". Other songs I like are "Don't Break My Heart Again", "Walking in the Shadow of the Blues", "Slide It In", "Fool for Your Loving", "Judgement Day", "Now You're Gone", "Give Me All Your Love", "Still of the Night", and "Pride and Joy".

This collection has many of Ratt's hard rock and metal songs from the 80s and 90s. My favorite is their 80s song "Round and Round". Other songs I like are "Dangerous but Worth the Risk", "Back for More", "You're in Love", "Body Talk", "Dance", "Wanted Man", "Slip of the Lip", "Shame Shame Shame", "Lack of Communication", and "Steel River".

Daydream Nation

Daydream Nation is my favorite Sonic Youth album. From 1988, it is one of the best alternative rock albums. Along with their Sister album, are my favorite 80s alternative rock albums. My favorite song is "Candle". Other songs here are "Teen Age Riot", "Silver Rocket", "The Sprawl", "'Cross the Breeze", "Eric's Trip", "Total Trash", "Hey Joni", "Providence", "Rain King", "Kissability", and "Trilogy"; A) "The Wonder", B) "Hyperstation", and Z) "Eliminator Jr.". Daydream Nation is a must hear 80s album.

This is my favorite hard rock album from the 80s. Appetite for Destruction is from 1987, and is Guns N' Roses debut album. It is one of the best hard rock albums, having some of the most popular hard rock songs of the 80s; "Welcome to the Jungle", "Sweet Child o' Mine", and "Paradise City". Other songs here are "It's So Easy", "Out ta Get Me", "My Michelle", "Nightrain", "Mr. Brownstone", "Think About You", "You're Crazy", "Anything Goes", and "Rocket Queen". I also like their Live: Era '87-'93 and Greatest Hits albums.

This is one of the best soundtracks of the 80s. From the film Dirty Dancing, it has many popular songs. This 20th anniversary edition has extra songs and a DVD. The 2011 edition also has remixes, instrumental versions of some songs and a live version of "Love's in Need of Love Today".

Make It Big

This 1984 album by Wham! is my favorite. It has some of their best songs. Some of my favorites are "Everything She Wants", "Careless Whisper" (feat. This is my favorite 80s album by rock band Europe. From 1986, it has some of their most popular songs; "Carrie" and "The Final Countdown". Some other songs I like are "Rock the Night", "Cherokee", and "Heart Of Stone". The 2001 edition also has live versions of "The Final Countdown", "Danger on the Track", and "Carrie".

Janet Jackson is one of my favorite music artists. This collection has many of her songs from her previous three albums. Some of my favorite 80s songs are "Nasty", "What Have You Done for Me Lately", "Rhythm Nation", "Escapade", "Miss You Much", and "When I Think of You". The 90s songs "That's the Way Love Goes" and the previously unreleased songs "Runaway" and "Twenty Foreplay". A very nice collection for all Janet Jackson fans. I also like her Control and Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 albums, and her Live in Hawaii concert. Her 2008 album Discipline is on my New Music blog.

This collection has Lionel Richie's songs from the 70s to the 00s, along with some 70s songs with the Commodores. Some of my favorite 70s songs are "Easy", "Three Times a Lady", and "Still". The 80s songs "Running with the Night", "Hello", "Truly", "Say You, Say Me", "All Night Long (All Night)", "Endless Love", (with Diana Ross), and "Dancing on the Ceiling". I also like the 00s song "Angel".
