Purple Rain [Soundtrack]

This 1984 album by Prince and The Revolution is the soundtrack to the 1984 film Purple Rain. The music is mostly pop, rock, and R&B. My favorite song is "When Doves Cry". Other songs here are "Take Me with U", "The Beautiful Ones", "Computer Blue", "Darling Nikki", "I Would Die 4 U", "Baby I'm a Star", and "Purple Rain". I also like his Ultimate Prince album.

This is my favorite Steve Winwood album. From 1980, it has my favorite song by him; "While You See a Chance". Other songs here are "Arc of a Diver", "Second-Hand Woman", "Slowdown-Sundown", "Spanish Dancer", "Night Train", and "Dust".

Self Control is from 1984, and is my favorite Laura Branigan album. It has one of my favorite songs by her; "Self Control". I also like her album The Best of Branigan.

This is my favorite 80s Fleetwood Mac album. From 1987, it has many of their popular songs. My favorite is "Little Lies". Other songs here are "Big Love", "Seven Wonders", "Everywhere", "Caroline", "Tango in the Night", "Mystified", "Family Man", "Welcome to the Room...Sara", "Isn't It Midnight", "When I See You Again", and "You And I, Part II". I also like The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac album.

This is a very popular Van Halen album. It is much different sounding than their darker 1981 Fair Warning album. From 1984, it has some of their best songs. My favorite is "Jump". Other songs here are "1984", "Panama", "Top Jimmy", "Drop Dead Legs", "Hot for Teacher", "I'll Wait", "Girl Gone Bad", and "House of Pain".

From 1981, Fair Warning is a strong album of dark hard rock music. My favorite song is "Sunday Afternoon in the Park". Other songs here are "Mean Street", "Dirty Movies", "Sinner's Swing!", "Hear About It Later", "Unchained", "Push Comes to Shove", "So This Is Love?", and "One Foot Out the Door". I also like their 1984 album.

This hard rock and heavy metal album by AC/DC is from 1980. It is my favorite 80s album by them. My favorite song is "You Shook Me All Night Long". Other songs here are "Hells Bells", "Shoot to Thrill", "What Do You Do for Money Honey", "Givin the Dog a Bone", "Let Me Put My Love Into You", "Back in Black", "Have a Drink on Me", "Shake a Leg", and "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution".

The Definitive Collection

This collection has many songs from the 70s to the 90s by Whitesnake. The songs are blues rock, hard rock, and heavy metal. Some of my favorites are the 80s songs "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love". Other songs I like are "Don't Break My Heart Again", "Walking in the Shadow of the Blues", "Slide It In", "Fool for Your Loving", "Judgement Day", "Now You're Gone", "Give Me All Your Love", "Still of the Night", and "Pride and Joy".

Daydream Nation is my favorite Sonic Youth album. From 1988, it is one of the best alternative rock albums. Along with their Sister album, are my favorite 80s alternative rock albums. My favorite song is "Candle". Other songs here are "Teen Age Riot", "Silver Rocket", "The Sprawl", "'Cross the Breeze", "Eric's Trip", "Total Trash", "Hey Joni", "Providence", "Rain King", "Kissability", and "Trilogy"; A) "The Wonder", B) "Hyperstation", and Z) "Eliminator Jr.". Daydream Nation is a must hear 80s album.

Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction

This is my favorite hard rock album from the 80s. Appetite for Destruction is from 1987, and is Guns N' Roses debut album. It is one of the best hard rock albums, having some of the most popular hard rock songs of the 80s; "Welcome to the Jungle", "Sweet Child o' Mine", and "Paradise City". Other songs here are "It's So Easy", "Out ta Get Me", "My Michelle", "Nightrain", "Mr. Brownstone", "Think About You", "You're Crazy", "Anything Goes", and "Rocket Queen". I also like their Live: Era '87-'93 and Greatest Hits albums.

Some of my favorites are "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles, "Be My Baby" by The Ronettes, "Big Girls Don't Cry" by The Four Seasons, "Hungry Eyes" by Eric Carmen, "She's Like the Wind" by Patrick Swayze (feat. Wendy Fraser), "Cry to Me" by Solomon Burke, "Yes" by Merry Clayton, "(I've Had) the Time of My Life" by Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes, and "Wipe Out" by The Surfaris.
